Dance is the hidden language of the soul. It is surely the most basic and relevant of all forms of expressions." Royal Global School organised a special assembly on 29.4.23 to observe and celebrate World Dance Day. The occasion was graced by Dr. Meernanda Barthakur, an acclaimed Satriya dancer, who is the first recipient of the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar of Sangeet Natak Academy in the year 2008-09. The students had put up a wonderful show where they enthralled the audience with their graceful moves as they presented the various dance forms, Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Manipuri, Odissi, Bihu, Contemporary dance forms, to name a few. Dr. Barthakur addressed the gathering and appreciated the dancers for their hard work and dedication which they exhibited through their performance. The audience was enraptured by the electrifying performance of Dr. Barthakur, where she narrated a piece from the life of Sri Lord Krishna. Anjali Saha, one of the faculty members of the Visual Arts Department of RGS presented a wonderful Kathak dance which was accompanied by Mr. Susanta Chowdhury, Mr. Bhaskar Jyoti Ojha and Ms. Harmeet Kaur. The assembly proceedings came to an end with the rendition of the School Song, followed by the National Anthem.

Royal Global School dominates 1st KEA interschool Chess tournament 2023 that was held in Kaziranga English Academy from 28th April to 30th April 2023. Over 150 schools and more than 300 players from various districts of Assam had participated in a fierce competition to determine which school will emerge as the best. RGS entered this event with the highest contingent followed by his competition Delhi Public School, Guwahati. After Fighting over the board for three days, Royal Global School was declared the Best School.

The NCC cadets of RGS participated in a Firing Practice Session at Narengi Army Camp and educated themselves about the importance of firing in defence.They also learned how to handle the riffle and shoot along with the nitty gritty of aiming inclusive of the risk in rifle practice. They were informed about the different types of riffles with live examples, map reading, compass reading, the different posts, duties of army and their ranks. They also gained knowledge about NCC and its importance, as it gives us the taste of how to live our life independently and face any kind of problems and deal with them.

The Social Outreach Club “Utsarga” had organized a visit to the adopted village at Nortap, Sonapur on the 26th April with the new members of the club as a part of their pilot Project ' Bridging the Gap'. This visit to the M. E. School was an ice breaking session with their buddies of the Nortap School. A total of 24 students from grades VIII, X and XII participated in this activity accompanied by the Utsarga Club coordinator Mahua G. Kanungoe. The students geared up to teach them a little Mathematics, English, Poem recitation and a Storytelling session accompanied with fun filled activities and games. Chocolates, biscuits and juices were distributed amongst the students. A trip that did not fail to imbibe in the children the values of sharing,caring, empathy and compassion.

Books are our companions and friends. They take us to realms beyond our wildest imagination. On 24.04.2023 the IVth graders of Royal Global School celebrated World Book Day in the junior school Assembly. The students were enlightened as to why World Book Day is celebrated . It was captivating to watch the young students essaying the famous characters such as Cinderella, Harry Potter, Snow White,Puss in boot, Matilda and the great detective of all time Sherlock Holmes. Everyone was transported back to Fairyland for some time !

Sia Sonthalia (VII), Mishka Singhal (VIII) and Khushi Agarwal (X) of Royal Global School were part of the Assam Roll Ball Team which clinched the Gold Medal at National U-17 Girls Roll Ball Championship on 21st April at Pune, Maharashtra

Royal Global School on 19.04.2023 was filled with the vibrant hues of spring as it celebrated the spring festival Rongali Bihu in the junior school Assembly! The young dancers were a sight to behold in their colorful attires. The school came alive and reverberated with the gleeful laughter of the young ones. The Assembly commenced by invoking the blessings of the Almighty. The special Assembly was blended with the theme of Earth Day which is celebrated on 22nd April. We have only one Earth, it's our responsibility to sustain, conserve, protect, and preserve it. A drama with the name Luitporiya was enacted. Through the enactment, the information as to why and how Rongali Bihu is celebrated was put across. The stage came alive when the graceful dancers performed and kept everyone enthralled with their mesmerizing and spectacular moves. The foot-tapping Bihu numbers filled the Colosseum with mirth and gaiety all around. The Principal of the school addressed the enthusiastic and overtly excited young audience wherein he appreciated the Assamese culture and music. The cherry on top was an impromptu dance by the parents and the Faculty members of RGS! What a fun way to ring in the most beautiful festival of Assam.

Viraj Upadhyay secured 2nd Position in Under 13 Category in the Jayanta Choudhury Memorial Open Rapid Chess Tournament 2023 organised by the Tarun Sangha Club.

Shlok Sonthalia of grade 2 grabbed bronze medal in Inter School Speed Skating Competition in the U9 category. Mishka Singhal and Sia Sonthalia with her team won Silver in the 3rd Inter District Roll Ball Championship in the Under 17 Category.

Utpalakshee Saikia of Class 7C became the Runner Up in Under 12 Girls Single category in the 6th Guwahati Open Junior Tennis Championship 2023 organised by Guwahati Lawn Tennis Association. Many congratulations to her!

Briti Agarwal of Grade 5 Royal Global School got the first prize in Rhythmic Movement with Bihu theme organised by Gup Shup 94.3 FM. Briti made her way to the top grooving with her hoop constantly, being very mindful of keeping the rhythm and movement pertaining to the theme. As a royalite she made us proud by thanking her facilitator and she also promoted the RGS concept of fitness, which is not only physical but a completely holistic approach towards mindfulness, perseverance, and dedication.

Kushan Rai Bora of Grade 10 got the 3rd position in Under- 17yrs (Recurve) team category of the All Assam Inter District Archery Competition - 2023. It was held at Sivasagar, Assam from 6 April to 9 April 2023.
