On February 20, 2023, we held a Drug Awareness Programme for Grades 7,8 & 9 which was held in collaboration with FICCI FLO and the Sobriety Foundation. Our Student Counsellor (senior school) Loya Agarwala moderated the session . This was followed by felicitations of the Resource Person and Founder of Sobriety Foundation Simanta Das and FICCI FLO members namely Meghali Das (Chairperson), Shweta Jindal (Vice Chairperson), Rashmi Manchanda (Secretary) and Sheetal Agarwal (Treasurer) by the Vice Principal, Binita Jain. Simanta Das, who was once an addict himself but has stopped the habit for the last 23 years, spoke of his struggles with substance abuse and enlightened the students on the types of drugs and their effects. The vote of thanks was delivered by Meghali Das, thus rounding off an empowering programme on the dangers of substance abuse, a much-needed and pertinent topic for modern-day adolescents

Royal Global School is proud to share that Diya Sarawgi of Grade VI, is the school topper of International Humanity Olympiad 2022. International Humanity Olympiad is conducted by Satyug Darshan Trust (Regd.), Faridabad, to ensure upliftment of individuals, families and society at large by enriching them with moral and ethical values across the world. The test was conducted for Grades 5 to 12 in an online mode. Its an excellent way of understanding the importance of development of good human character and perfect human personality through self control which enables one to become a good and noble human-being.

Sports is an essential element of education. Keeping this maxim in mind, Royal Global School, Guwahati organized the Annual Sports Day for grades Nursery to III on Friday 10th February 2023 in its lush green school premises. The event was attended by the children of grades Nursery to III along with the parents, teachers, and staff members. Shri Mahadev Deka, Mr. Universe 2009 and an Assistant Engineer in the Public Health Department, Government of Assam was the Chief Guest of the Day. The host of other dignitaries was Vice Principal Ms. Binita Jain. The programme began with the school choir presenting the school song followed by a mesmerizing yoga performance by the students of Grade II. Thereafter the different, innovative, and fun–filled races followed one after another which was thoroughly enjoyed by the players as well as the spectators. Furthermore, the aerobic performance by the Grade I students and the taekwondo performance by the students of Grade III kept the spectators hooked and enthralled. The parents of the little Royalites were given the opportunity to show their sports skills by participating in the different races which was planned for them and that remained the highlight of the day. The event was well organized and it received appreciation from all.

With an aim to bless and cherish the promising moments of the outgoing batch of class XII (2022-2023), Royal Global School, Guwahati organised an impactful Farewell Ceremony. Mr. Diganta Barah, IPS, Police Commissioner, Guwahati was the Chief Guest of the occasion. The event spurred up with the ushering in of the Lamp of Continuity by the Principal, the outgoing Head Boy, and the Head Girl which was followed by the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony, seeking blessings of the almighty. Invoking lord Ganesha, a mesmerizing dance performance was rendered by a student of grade VII. After the school song, a group of students presented the Saraswati Vandana. A heart-touching dance drama was also performed by a student of the school portraying the emotional journey of the student who starts his life from a cocoon and gradually evolves into a beautiful butterfly as they nourish themselves with the elixir of school life. The principal addressed the august gathering and conveyed his message to the students in a lyrical rendition of the famous song 'One Moment in Time' by Whitney Houston. Then the most awaited part of the program started with the outgoing students being blessed by the Vice Principal, and the Class Teachers of the respective classes. Appreciating the students who left their imprints in the heart of their teachers as well as the schoolmates with regard to the field of scholastic and co-scholastic, including the outstanding contribution of a few students towards the school. Inspiring the budding mass, the Chief guest shared his own journey to his successful destination which is the result of consistent effort, perseverance, and devoted dedication. Appreciating the initiatives undertaken by the school to provide its learners a wider platform, he invited all the students to open up to the opportunities and give their best. While addressing the energetic crowd, the Chairman, Dr. Pansari reiterated the importance of keeping alternative plans to knock on the door of success as he believes that failing once is not the end of the trial, but rather paving the way to choose a better path. Motivating the students to do their possible part for society, he emphasized on everyone being a good citizen with humane values, which, according to him, is the ultimate meaning of being successful. The parents too shared their feelings of gratitude towards the school for always being a support system for their children and giving wings to their dreams. Last but not the least, the outgoing Head boy, the Head girl, and CCA Captain, touched the strings of everyone’s heart with their words while signing off from their post. The event came to an end with the handing over of the Lamp of Continuity to the befitting hands of present Head boy Dev Tiwari and Head girl Riddhi Poddar.
