Ms. Singh, an Early Childhood Education Practitioner from Delhi with over two decades of experience working with Dr. Arup Mukhopadhyay globally, was the resource person for the workshop. The workshop was on "Embracing Active Play in Early Childhood Education." She highlighted the importance of integrating diverse approaches, understanding brain development, and using hands-on activities to enhance early learning. The event gathered numerous preschool leaders and teachers from across the city to exchange best practices for the holistic development of young children. Dr Arup Mukhopadhyay, Director at his key note address mentioned that “we do not compete with each other, we collaborate with each other.”
On November 14, 2024, our school celebrated Children’s Day with the theme For Every Child, Every Right. Students from Grades VI to IX and XI along with the teachers visited three orphanages, Nortap L.P. School (Sonapur), Anand Marg Orphanage (Lalganesh), and Jai Mata Di Orphanage (Matgharia) where they organized activities, distributed stationery, and spent time with the children. The experience fostered empathy and highlighted the importance of ensuring every child’s well-being.
Royal Global School marked Children's Day on November 14, 2024, with a vibrant program that began by paying tribute to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The stage lit up with the soulful melodies of our talented faculty, followed by captivating dance performances that had everyone cheering!
A thought-provoking skit on the impact of social media kept the audience hooked, and the day wrapped up with an insightful short film by our Director, Dr. Arup K. Mukhopadhyay, highlighting the dangers of smartphone addiction.
Additionally, our students distributed stationery items, shared sweets, and spent time connecting with the children at Nartap L.P. School and two other orphanages in the city to celebrate Children's Day, making the day even more meaningful.
The most anticipated event of the year the "Night Spend Program" for Grade 2 students at Royal Campus was a resounding success. This enjoyable event provided a unique and memorable experience for all participants. The children arrived at school on November 8th, their colorful suitcases in tow, brimming with excitement and smiles.
After a full day of classes, the enthusiastic little ones gathered in the central courtyard for some fun and games. Following their evening snacks, the students enjoyed an engaging movie at the Broadway, which was followed by a delightful storytelling session led by Ms. Sanjukta Borah and Ms. Jenny Rohlupui.
As night fell, the tired but happy children had a hearty dinner and participated in a book reading session before bedtime. The next morning began with a refreshing nature walk around the campus, where the boys and girls engaged in light exercises.
Post-breakfast, the students returned to their classrooms for an activity called Log Wood Writing, conducted by art and craft teachers Mr. Lakhyajit Bora and Ms. Banashree Neog Baruah. Following this, a Rock Painting session led by Ms. Nabanita Baruah took the creative energy to new heights.
After a delicious lunch, the students were ready to head home, carrying with them wonderful memories of the event. Programs like these foster friendships, teamwork, and independence, giving children a taste of adventure and the great outdoors within the safety of their school environment. The students' response was overwhelmingly positive, and they truly had a whale of a time.
On November 8, 2024, a field trip was organized for Grade I students to the Regional Science Centre, Khanapara. The trip aimed to provide an engaging, hands-on learning experience that complemented their Environmental Studies (EVS) curriculum. Students explored a range of topics, including aquatic creatures, space, weather, prehistoric animals, plants, and the fascinating variety of foods we consume. The visit was designed to spark curiosity, deepen their understanding of basic scientific concepts, and nurture a lifelong interest in science through interactive exploration.
On November 5th, Students held a heartfelt assembly to commemorate the 13th death anniversary of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, honoring his profound impact on Indian music and culture. The tribute included reflections on his legacy, a poem recital, a group performance of Bistirno Parorey (Vistaar hain apaar), and an energetic dance to Assom Amaar Rupohi, celebrating Assamese culture.
