Royal Global School

Application Procedure Session 2020-21

Students seeking admission into Nursery, Lower KG, Upper KG and Grade I will be assessed in a verbal and interactive session by the concerned teacher followed by a personal interaction with the Principal along with the parents.

However, students seeking admission into Grade II to Grade IX are to appear for a written entrance examination conducted by the school for the subjects English, Mathematics and Hindi/ Assamese on the exit level of the previous class followed by a personal interaction with the Principal along with parents.

Fill in the Application Form for the class in which admission is sought (meeting the eligibility criterion for admission into the classes are mandatory)
Duly filled in application form is to be submitted to the office of the school along with the following documents:
  • Birth Certificate (attested)
  • School leaving Certificate (TC Original)
  • Report Card (Photocopy)
  • 4 nos. of colour passport size photo of the student with name of the student written behind each (size 3.5 cm x 4.5cm).
  • 2 nos. of colour passport size photo of each parent with name & relationship written behind each (size 3.5 cm x 4.5cm).
  • Character/ Bona fide Certificate (for XI)
  • Proof of address of parents
  • Copies of Passport/ VISA (only for foreign and NRI students)
  • Pass Certificate/ Migration Certificate (for XI)
  • Medical Emergency form (attached in the form)
  • Immunisation Certificate
  • Parents undertaking form (attached in the form)
  • Hostel form / 2 nos. of passport size photo of Local guardian with name & relationship written behind each (as applicable)
  • Transportation Form (as applicable)
  • Caste Certificate ( if any)
  • Application cum registration fee of Rs. 2000/- by Demand Draft/ Cheque
  • NOTE:* for online submission of photograph/relevant documents, etc., please use scanned copy in jpg/gif/png/jpeg/bmp format.

Important:
  • Incomplete application form will not be accepted.
  • All supporting documents mentioned above are to be submitted
  • Submission of Application Form does not qualify a candidate to appear for the selection process or admission to any classes
  • Every candidate is advised to carry a copy of the Application Form sent in his/her respective email id.
Duly filled in Application Form and relevant documents along with no. of photograph & a DD of Rs. 2000/- in favor of “Royal Global School”, payable at Guwahati (in case of downloaded form) should be submitted to the campus.
  • Once the application form has been submitted to the admission department, the applicant can appear for an entrance test, the date and time for which will be informed by the school.
  • Every candidate will be informed about the date and time of the entrance exam followed by personal interaction.
  • Parents/ Guardians of selected students will be informed by the school within two working days over phone.
  • The qualified candidates will have to take admission within seven (7) working days.
  • .The admission will be treated as confirmed only if the fees and the security deposit have been paid within the stipulated time acknowledged.
  • NOTE:

  • Application cum Registration fee is neither refundable nor adjustable. Registration of a pupil is not a guarantee to admission.
Selected candidates can give request for change of stream after selection as follows:
  • The request should be made to the concerned school authority with a duly written application.
  • Minimum eligibility criteria for the requested stream should be met.
  • Request will be considered and approved, subject to the consent of the school authority.

Any child above the age of two and a half years is eligible to be admitted in Nursery

A. REFUND OF FOR NEWLY ADMITTED STUDENT
  • For candidates withdrawing the seat before the commencement of the Academic Session or without attending classes:
    In case, of the child leaving immediately without attending any class, or before the commencement of the Academic Session: entire amount will be returned, i.e. Development Fee, Caution Deposit, Imprest Money, Activity Fee, Tuition Fee, Miscellaneous fee. The Enrolment fees will not be refunded in any case. For candidates withdrawing the seat after the commencement of the Academic Session:
    A Candidate, who has taken admission by depositing the initial payment along with the Annual fee but withdraws after attending between one day to one month of admission, is entitled to refund of Caution Deposit, Imprest Money, Tuition Fee(after deduction of one month’s tuition fee), Miscellaneous fee. However, Enrolment fees, Development fees and Activity fees will be not be refunded.
  • For candidates withdrawing the seat after one month commencement or from the date of admission:
    In case, of the candidate leaves after one month of admission, three months’ Tuition fees for the quarter is not refunded.
    He/she is entitled to refund of Caution Deposit, Imprest Money and proportionate deduction of tuition fee, where applicable. However, Enrolment fees, Development fees, Miscellaneous fee and Activity fees will be not be refunded.
B. REFUND FOR EXISTING/EXPELLED STUDENT
  • For existing students withdrawing from school
    In case, of the child leaving after one month of admission, three months’ notice has to be served to the school or deduction of three month’s Tuition fees.
    A student, who withdraws without completing the course of study, is entitled to refund of Caution Money only, subject to clearance of No-Dues certificate, available with Academics Section/Accounts office.
  • For existing students expelled from Hostel/School
    A student who is expelled by the management/ concerned authority from either hostel or School, due to involvement in any untoward incident, is not entitled to any refund of fee (hostel, tuition, etc.) except the Caution Money and Imprest Money and proportionate deduction of tuition fee, where applicable subject to clearance of No-Dues certificate, available with Academics Section/Accounts office.
    However, Enrolment fees, Development fees, Miscellaneous fee and Activity fees will be not be refunded.
C. REFUND OF HOSTEL BOARDERS:
  • If any student wishes to withdraw from availing the Hostel accommodation during any part of the year, he/she has to apply for withdrawal and three months’ notice has to be served to the school or three months hostel fee would be deducted. He/she will be liable to pay/refund of Caution Money, after deduction of Enrolment Fee.
  • A boarder, who has completed his/her class of study, is entitled to refund of the Caution Money, subject to clearance of No-Dues certificate, available with Academics Section/Accounts office.
D. REFUND FOR TRANSPORT :
  • Transportation Facility when applied /availed shall be on half yearly basis.
  • If any student wishes to withdraw from availing the transportation facility during any part of the year, he/she has to apply for withdrawal has to give three months’ notice of the school. He/she will be liable to pay/refund of transportation fee. This will be subject to getting the No-Dues certificate cleared, available with Transport department /Accounts office.
Note:
  • The RGS Refund Policy, 2019-20, overwrites all the existing Refund Policies under Royal Global School (RGS). Any refund matter/case under RGS will be dealt with, as per Refund Policy, 2018-19.
  • All application for refund of Caution Money should reach the School office within a period of one (01) year from the date of leaving the school, failing which the amount will be transferred to Alumni fund/School Development Fund.
  • The Competent Authorities reserves the right to modify/change the policy at any point of time or take decisions in extraordinary cases.
