Dear Members of the RGS Family,
Greetings…
I humbly welcome you to this great institution which has carved a niche in the world of education. It is an academic honour for me to share my thoughts with you.
While carrying out my academic and administrative responsibilities, I have understood that education is a marathon and not a sprint. A key part of the responsibility to educate young minds revolves around the dimensions of holistic development of the child. Besides working on IQ, let us also work on HQ – the most important ingredient of life – the Happiness Quotient.
This will involve establishing a stronger bond between the school and parents through the Parent Reach-out Programme which becomes a cohesive force for the parent-educator partnership.
What would be the best way to learn – I always think that it is not possible to comprehend the dimensions of human potential and possibilities which can be created on the canvas of eternity through a child.
Can we ever learn by “teaching”? Can we equip ourselves or children by a predesigned process? Do we have to learn, if yes, to what extent, when and how?
My belief system and vision echoes around the epicenter of holistic approach to reach out to the child's core of development focusing on emotional intelligence, career and behavioural counselling, sports and Student Guild to sharpen leadership qualities and promote student governance.
Envisaging future roadmap for the school , I would like to invite you to join hands with us and help the children to imbibe universal values, build a strong character, identify our roots and soar high. We believe in Internationalism, however, let us not forget the strengths which have built the strong foundation of ancient education system in India and these are now being recognized all over the globe. Our children must be proud of our rich cultural heritage.
In the context of Royal Global School, with highly qualified and experienced members of staff, we are contributing to the field of education by becoming a “Centre of Learning”.
Here, we move from “contextual” parameters to “conceptual” teaching and create an ambience which supports and fosters human ingenuity. We design and plan, and be highly cautious about goal settings, feedback mechanisms, constructivism and approaches to learning. We are Identifying, selecting, and modifying instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs. This is a key stone and a reference datum of our pastoral care.
Sooner or later, a child has to come out of a controlled eco system called classroom and learn in a much bigger, complex and natural school called life. In order to prepare the child for that, we promote a culture where diversity is encouraged and where students learn to respect and accept differences, take responsibility for their actions, exercise leadership and strive for academic excellence.
The process of teaching and learning, as per my personal philosophy, tries to take care of the environment rather than fixing the seed itself.
We, at RGS, are committed to this noble mission. It would be a pleasure to interact with you and strengthen our efforts further.
Wishing you all the very best,
