To inculcate the reading habits among the young readers of the school, an initiative has been taken by Royal Global School to acknowledge the most enthusiastic readers among the young readers of Primary Wing. The passionate readers are invited for a Reader’s Appreciation High- tea with the Head of the school, Principal Anubha Goyal ma’am. The Avid Readers for this month are – Aizahs khan (Grade I), Lehek Daga (Grade II), Jisha Jain (Grade III), Sidhant Pawan Baruah (Grade IV), Devishi Das (Grade V). On 26th August, these budding readers spent a cozy and informal evening with their beloved Principal Anubha Ma’am where the students enthusiastically discussed with her about the books they read.

Royal Kids shine at 1st All Assam Rapid and Blitz Rating Open chess championship 2022. Prangovinda Parashar Kashyap Performed well in both the sections and secured 16th Position in Rapid and 13th Position in Blitz event. Vihaan Upadhyay Secured 2nd Position in Under 13 category In the 1st All Assam Rapid Rating Chess Championship 2022. Ritisha Myra Rajbongshi secured 1st Position in Under 9 category in the 1st All Assam Rapid Rating Chess Championship 2022. Jisha Jain secured 2nd Position 1st Position in Under 9 category in the 1st All Assam Blitz Rating Chess Championship 2022. All the Players will receive Blitz elo Rating in the month of September 2022.

The Investiture Ceremony of the Prefect Council of Royal Global School was held on 27 August 2022 for the current scholastic session. The ceremony was attended by the Head of School Ms Anubha Goyal, Vice Principal Ms Binita Jain, Chief Administrative Officer Mr Dibakar Narayan Pandey, esteemed teachers and students of the institution. The event is earmarked as an observance that is one of the momentous occasions of an educational institution wherein the elected members of the School’s Senate are officially vested with their powers and positions. The august ceremony commenced with the lamp lighting ceremony as a befitting tribute to Maa Saraswati, the Goddess of Knowledge. This was followed by a melodious Prayer recital invoking God's blessings. The new Office Bearers then entered the auditorium crisply marching to the beats of the drum and led by the Head Girl, Gazala Fida Sabbir and Head Boy, Nihal Raj Nath. As they took their positions onstage, the Head of School and Vice Principal gave away the sashes and badges to the beaming leaders. Thereafter, while the Principal entrusted the Prestigious School Flag to the Head-Girl, the Heads of CCA and Sports gave away their designated Flags to CCA and Sports Captains respectively. The House Mistresses of the four different Houses then came onstage to entrust the House Flags to the newly elected House Captains. The most anxiously awaited moment finally arrived - the Oath –Taking Ceremony - when the Head of School came forward to swear in the newly formed School Cabinet. In an electrifying speech, the Principal Ms Anubha Goyal reminded the leaders of the school that responsibility comes along with accountability and hence urged them to set a shining example of leadership that imbibes traits of kindness and compassion. In their maiden speeches as the newly elected Head Girl and Head Boy, both expressed their sincerest gratitude and appreciation on being entrusted with such a prestigious position and pledged to carry out their duties to the best of their capacity. The ceremony concluded with the gathering paying homage to the Nation as the National Anthem reverberated through the auditorium instilling the spirit of belongingness. The movie tells mostly of Mowgli, an Indian boy who is raised by wolves and learns self-sufficiency and wisdom from the jungle animals. It describes the social life of the wolf pack and, more fancifully, the justice and natural order of life in the jungle. The children of Pre-Primary had so much fun watching the movie.

Children of Mother Teresa House celebrated birthday of Mother Teresa, (26 August 1910 – 5 September 1997), in the premises of Royal Global School, near the statue. She is popularly known as Saint Teresa of Calcutta, was an Albanian-Indian Roman Catholic nun who, in 1950, founded and was an active member of the Missionaries of Charity. The prayer meeting started with an introductory note of her life by Royina Khaund, followed by hymns sung by Riddhi Poddar, Dhruv Bansal, Manas Pratim, Monmeeta, Pragyan, Harshvardhan “ Come and follow me…” and a beautiful life anecdote shared by Phidanyllashia from her life. The inspiring words of Principal Maam, Anubha Goyal filled the minds of children with a promise to be kind and express gratitude to everyone around. Analysing her deeds and achievements, Pope John Paul II said: "Where did Mother Teresa find the strength and perseverance to place herself completely at the service of others? She found it in prayer and in the silent contemplation of Jesus Christ, his Holy Face, his Sacred Heart. The meeting ended with a solace minute of silence by all present there.

On 17 August 2022, an engrossing Capacity Building session was conducted by Founder and CEO, Mahattattva, Dr Deepti Sawhney and Ms Pramugdha Kataria in collaboration with CBSE and Google India at Royal Global School on the intelligent usage and implementation of cyber technology. The two hour program was attended by educators from different educational institutions of the city. The session commenced with an engaging interaction among the participating educators wherein they provided their valuable insight on hypothetical scenarios that one may encounter in everyday situations. It encompassed five learning units, each focussing on the consequences of technology use and the most effective methods in accordance with the prescribed goals. The primary goal of the session was to Learn, Understand, Determine and Differentiate among the widely available websites so that we can gauge their authenticity. The next segment offered valuable inputs for creating passwords that are impermeable to hacking and other technological malices. At the same time, the students should be encouraged to be empathetic towards their peers and without giving in to negative propaganda of any kind. Lastly, emphasis must be placed on creating a comfortable ambience for children to Speak Up, Stand Up and Report their doubts and apprehensions. The session concluded on a positive note wherein the participants provided their valuable feedback and expressed their happiness on being provided such a wonderful platform of learning.

As part of its grand celebrations to mark 75 years of India's independence under the patronage of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Royal Global School celebrated the 76th Independence Day of the nation on 15 August 2022. The momentous occasion commenced with the arrival of dignitaries and distinguished guests. The prestigious Flag was then hoisted followed by a March Past Parade by the School Contingent, NCC Cadets as well as the Brass Band. In her welcome address, the Head of School Ms Anubha Goyal urged the students to imbibe the spirit of Patriotism into every aspect of their lives. This was followed by a stellar speech by the Vice Chancellor of Royal Global University,Prof.Dr S.P.Singh who stressed upon the need to inculcate human values into our midst and incorporate it with modernity so that we emerge as responsible and empathetic citizens of this country. Thereafter, the august gathering was mesmerized by beautifully orchestrated performances enacted by the talented students of the school, each ushering forth the spirit of Patriotism. The highlight of the program was a One Act Play through which one got to trace the inception and evolution of the Indian Flag. The program concluded on a high note of happiness and gratitude when the pilots and helpers of the school buses were honoured with a standing ovation for having carried out a Prabhat Ferry across the city earlier in the morning. Finally, the little angels of the school rounded up the event with a resplendent train ride replete with the promise of upholding the nation’s integrity and honour.

Students of Royal Global school celebrated World Sanskrit Day today 10th of August 2022. The Program started with a mangalacharan followed by Krishna Arjuna Samvad from Shree mad Bhagawat Geeta presented by the students. A dance on Mahabharata was presented. Teachers and students chanted meaningful shlokas, that would help students to grow up with good qualities and values.

Two little cute faces with matching grins, nothing could be any sweeter than having twins. Royal Global School celebrated International Twins Day on 6th August with full zeal and enthusiasm. The program was graced by the presence of RGS twins along with their parents.It was indeed overwhelming to witness the performance of those sweet pairs which truly captivated the audience. They enthralled the audience through poem recitation, speech, song, dance and gymnastics, wherein the twins expressed their love for each other. The aim of the program was to celebrate the similarities, differences and above all to give the twins a chance to have a day for themselves.

On the 5th of August, at the Colosseum at Royal Global school, an event which celebrates good food and mindful eating called Eat Q(cooking without fire) was organised for the parents and students of 1st grade. The parent - child duo participated with full gusto and produced a cornucopia of recipes which were not only scrumptious and finger licking good but healthy as well. The judges for the competition were Mr Vikas Kumar Verma, executive assisstant manager, Radisson Blu Guwahati , Ms Saloni Siotia, The pink frosting Guwahati, who declared the results after a very stiff competition. The aim of the competition was to discover new culinary talents and it is an effective and innovative way to increase student participation in experiential learning.

'Childhood friendships are timeless treasures of the heart.' Friendship, a state of enduring affection, esteem and trust between two or more people. Children of Pre-Primary celebrated friendship day by making friendship bands and went for a joyous train ride.

The senior wing students of Royal Global School experienced a power-packed, super-engaging, and highly insightful speech by Nishtha Bothra (alumni)who was invited as a guest to speak about her preparation and achievement as 2nd AIR Holder in the CA intermediate examination,2022. She was felicitated with a gamocha and memento by Principal,Anubha Goyal Ma'am. In her speech ,she mentioned about the importance of effective time management so that every minute is used productively. Besides external motivation,she focused on internal zeal and initiative to achieve success in life. Last minute study may bring good results but hard work from the beginning and maintaining consistency throughout is very essential for not only good marks but self -satisfaction. The students were glued to their positions by her words of wisdom which she expressed so beautifully. The session ended with a vote of thanks from the Principal Anubha Goyal Ma'am.

Our young achievers bagged several medals at the Assam Youth Olympics 2022 held from 22nd July to 27th July.
